Mobile app solution

Client
mblty GmbH

Area
Mobile app (e-mobility service provider)

Industry
Electric mobility / charging infrastructure

mblty GmbH plans, builds and runs charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.

Together with ebiscon they built an app that makes electric mobility simpler and more efficient. The mblty app is a complete way to use charging stations across Germany.

As part of a charging network along the German motorways, the app supports sustainable mobility and makes charging points easier to use.

So what did we have to solve along the way?

The challenge

In Germany charging infrastructure is run by many different operators, which often leaves drivers with inconsistent data about whether a charging point is free and working. On longer trips especially, people lack the reliable information they need to plan safely and efficiently.

Our goal was a solution that brings every important function into one app through interoperability. Interoperability here means drivers find charging points from any operator, plan the best route and start and pay for charging without switching between apps or providers.

That is how the mblty EMSP app came about:
one place for everything that matters.

The goal

The mblty EMSP app for iOS and Android makes the whole charging experience simpler. Drivers find the nearest charging points, plan a trip around the ones that are available and start and pay for charging comfortably, all in one app.

On long trips the strength of the app shows: efficient route planning, interactive maps and built-in payment bring every essential feature into one friendly application.

This careful build saves drivers time and makes charging stations easy to use, which lifts the whole experience of driving electric.

The solution

As their partner we built the mblty EMSP app to make charging in Germany work better.

With current technology and Microsoft Azure as the cloud platform, we deliver a solution that is friendly to use and efficient to run. The project also shows our commitment to innovative apps in electric mobility, including app clips, instant apps and smartwatch integration further down the road.

Working in agile cycles keeps us close to our clients and lets us react to what they need. At the same time we keep improving how we build, which makes for an efficient, tailored app and keeps the EMSP app moving forward.

The result

The mblty EMSP app launched in spring 2025.

Agile development and regular interim releases let us build every essential function quickly.

Feedback from the client during those releases meant we could improve as we went and make sure the mblty EMSP app matched what they expected.

Let's get your data moving.
